Neil and Kim met each other at the place they both spend the most time outside of work or home...which is church! Funnily enough, they could not stand each other for years.

Neil didn't like Kim because she never spoke to him...and Kim didn't like Neil because he never spoke to her. Oh, the irony!

Kim was hosting the College & Career Bible study on Sunday mornings with her sister, Sam, and Neil was forced to attend one week by a pastor who saw him hanging out in the lobby.

That week, Neil was the only one to attend the Bible study and Sam was on nursery duty so it was just Neil and Kim, and they were both dreading it.

Once they got to talking in the Bible study group, they softened and ended up talking so much that they didn't even go over the lesson for that week.

Months go by as Neil and Kim stayed good friends. One day, Neil asked to hang out with an unassuming Kim and she agreed, if only they went to Chipotle for dinner.

That night, Neil spent his last dollar on a meal he secretly hated, and told Kim he liked her. Kim laughed until she realized he was serious - she then panicked and went home.

Kim had two rules when it came to dating boys: they have to love Jesus and they have to be older (and Neil is three years younger than her!) The night that Neil confessed his true feelings for Kim, her rule went out the window as she clearly heard from God "this is your husband that you have been waiting for and I have sent for you."

On the 29th of December in 2017, after many more months of hanging out, Neil asked Kim to be his girlfriend. She said yes!
